The opportunity has arisen for a highly organised individual to work in the production control office of this company which specialises in high quality precision engineering using CNC mill/turning machines and machining centres for a demanding customer base.

The duties will include:The input of orders onto the company systemPlacing orders on sub-contract suppliersProducing works orders/route cardsScheduling production tasks to meet promised delivery datesOrganising shop floor staff to complete tasks efficientlyOperating the quality management systemEnsuring that the high level of product quality and shop floor discipline is maintainedSuggesting and implementing improvementsTraining staff

The ideal candidate will:Have HND or higher qualification in an engineering disciplineBe experienced in working in a quality focused engineering business in a hands on supervisory roleHave excellent organisational and time management skillsHave good IT skills and be prepared to learn to operate the company system and job scheduling softwareHave a strong level of communication skills and a professional mannerHave worked in an ISO 9000 environment

Terms
37.5 hours basic per week plus overtime
Holidays 25 days plus statutory holidays
Pension contribution
